Special Notes:
The Cougar Multi-Media Art Camp is a Fine Arts based camp that will give your student the opportunity to practice their creative skills while exploring new types of art they may not have encountered in a classroom before like textile creation, fluid art, sewing, live drawing and more!
The camp is made up of projects that will help students develop their hand eye coordination, creative thinking, design ideation, communication and presentation skills. The art camp is led and instructed by Mia Moore, a Grace Community Alum who went through the Grace Fine Arts program and won multiple awards at the TAPPS State Fine Arts, Tyler Pallet of Roses and the Congressional Art competitions. During her high school years Mia also completed additional work with the Acts of Grace Theater program for shows like Into the Woods, The Nerd, The 39 Steps, Community Garden and 42nd Street.
The camp session is Monday through Friday from 9am to 12:30pm. Students will need to bring:
-A snack and water bottle
-A medium sized storage container like a cardboard box, plastic container etc. labeled large and visibly with the students first and last name
-A sketchbook/ notebook/notepad to draw and design in that will be left at school every day
-IF you have access to or own a sewing machine that is easy to move around, we highly encourage bringing it for our sewing day!
-All other supplies and shirts will be included and provided through the registration fee.
When we do fluid art, PLEASE send you students to camp in clothes you both do not care about getting covered in paint and messed up.
